07/25/2008 18:05:08 Comment: Now THIS is a funny crew of which I have a lot of memories. David Conrad and I grew up together and always enjoyed talking. We drifted apart after elementary school a bit, but were really close in 4th, 5th grade. So enjoyed seeing him at the 1994 reunion and had a long talk with him as he drove me someplace. I remember going with him in single-file line to the Briar Vista library and him being the first to inform me about--HAHHAHHA--the mechanics of sex. The revelation wasn't quite informed enough, but it was good enough to get me more curious. He was one of the people I totally felt I could connect with on an intellectual basis. Luis Guzman was always hysterical to me because he had the dryest wit of anyone I knew. And he was so tall, with such a distinctive face. Great guy. And Sharon Andrews. I'm sure I was so jealous of Danny Glusman at one point because I always sort of loved Sharon. She was sooooooooo pretty and nice, and I seem to remember her having a sweet Southern accent that was adorably cute. Who was her best friend? She was feather-haired, short, and cute too. Sharon sat in front of me in some math class or something--something I was completely uninterested in--and I felt so lucky to get to go to that class and look into her blue blue eyes as she talked so sweetly to me. And Mike! What a kind-hearted bruiser. Ran into him a lot afterwards at his 90s job at the Book Nook's old locale at Buford Hyway and Clairmont. We would reminence about one of the few times I went out into the senior courtyard. A slight crowd watched as I attempted to wrestle this guy---who was a pro--and as I bent over to perform some move, my goofy dress pants (I never wore jeans) split at the butt, creating quite a stir that I simply laughed along with. I think I coulda done well if I'd been wearing jeans--but Mike still woulda pinned my a**.
